Handwritten free fonts

Hi !

Just wanted to share this with you all, as it may be of some interest while working on a journal or any other prop including handwritting.

You can already find each font on sites such as Dafont, but I thought the compilation may raise interests :

free Textures sites for your props

I saw toms post about fonts and I meant to post this about textures. 3800 textures that you can use for anything. Great site I have used often for masks or backgrounds.

For old-style journals, lately I prefer Jefferson though it changes as people make new ones. I like dafont.com's ability to display up to 50 fonts at once, with custom display text and in any of four sizes. I've used that quite a bit while designing paper props.

You'll find fonts like Helvetica Ultra Compressed (for LCARS) and Compacta (for Stargate) for free.

I like "CG Textures" for textures. You have to register, but the pics are high res.

thanks a lot for postings the textures, so far it's the only one I know with x-rays. And thanks for mentioning my gallery.....

BTW: In mid October I'll be only 100 miles from where you live. I'll spend my vacation with my Klingon friends from the USS Haven (www.usshaven.net) in Altamonte Springs.

Mid-October's the right time to visit -- not too hot, not cold yet. I visit my Dad near Tampa around Christmas, and it sometimes gets brutally cold (well... brutal by FL standards, I mean).
