The costume designer himself Jean Piere Dorleac told me in 1979 that the pants and gun belt are supposed to be black. Not Blue or Gray. They only appear that way on screen and in photos due to fading dyes. Drove the guy nuts. Blue on brown uniform doesn't cut it.

Mic, I agree there, LOve the look of black on the costume, not the blue.

As for the costume patterns, I don't think he ever found a way to post them for people. But I can try emailing him to find out for sure what's going on.

I do know we had someone draft up and post pictures of her pattern for the Warrior's Jacket. those are up on Blackstatr Squadron, which is linked in the first post.

Starlog used to offer the coat for sale in the late 70's. I was just a kid but boy howdy did I want one. Brass clasps, rank tabs, patches. I just know I would have been the coolest kid in Jr High wearing one. Oh well.

Not a problem, I just approved youtr account over there, so make yourself at home.

You going to make a costume for yourself as well? There is also a resource section with fabrics for you to take a look at and the CSL states the color standards we recommend for the costume as well.

If the person who commissioned you isn't a member, point them over as well always happy to make room for another warrior.

I don't think the original poster is going to post the patterns he put together. There have been patterns posted over on Blackstar Squadron for the Jacket though.

I'll see if I can find anyone to do the Tans as well.

We're working on it now. Harnessworks over at Blackstar sent out some free patterns and said it was okay to make copies or host them. Her work looks great!

If you put the pattern pieces on a grid board (often used for cutting out patterns) and take pictures, they would be easy for people to copy from. It's not as easy as "Print" but if someone is attempting to make an outfit, they should be use to stuff like this.

Sounds easy enough. Pictures of the pattern are up over at Blackstar but not with a grid. I'll see what I can come up with. Do you have a grid board?

Hey guys,
I've been working on something for a long time and have now finished it and want to make the costume patterns available for anyone wanting to do it themselves----*FREE*.
What suggestions do you all know of that I can put a clothing pattern on, watermark it and then make it available for free download. I know that these patterns will hit ebay before too long so that is why I'm posting here so you guys will know where they originally came from and can alert me it it happens.

I've looked at some of the CAD programs but I need something that is inexpensive (read free or cheap) to compile this pattern into that format.

I'm offering these patterns free.
They will be located on the BLACKSTAR SQUADRON boards.
