They do curve when you cut them, straighten them out with pliers, then wrap them around the pipe you use to do the front finger stalls, that will give you the basic shape, i personally solder the rings on before the blades now.

For the inside rings I just used a copper pipe and pipe cutter. Cut about a 1/4 of the ring off and it worked great. No sharp edges.

Got a student to cut brass strips in my school's metal shop. For now, they're just hot glued to the fingers, but later I'll epoxy them (I'm not going to fuss with soldering a spot that's invisible on the prop. All the fingers are finally done. I will say that lining up everything so that it has a good range of motion is a chore. The whole thing is a little stiffer than I'd like. This is starting to feel more like a display piece every time I work on it haha.

Pinky looks wonky in the pic. It's not that out of line. Hand was stretched? And my hand wasn't all the way in the armature for the second shot; there's not that much space between the glove's and the metal's tips.

Wasn't satisfied with how that backplate looked, so I re-did it. Weathered the copper with ammonia, the brass with vinegar. Got to take the shine off the rivets and get some blades on this bad boy I've made a million errors that have all compounded to make this far less accurate than I'd hoped, but I can't afford to buy more metal every time I bungle, so...Freddy purists, forgive me!

Bah, just bought a new guitar. I'm not sinking more money into finishing this I guess. Off to ebay :/
