WE have 2 new comers to the lair getting ready to build our first suits for a male and female. I wanted to know everyone's ideas on foam armor and its usefulness. i heard the thick floor puzzle matting works very well and so does the thin art foam. one thing i needed to know was that after your paint the foam does the foam become harder or do you need to paint a hardening coat over them to keep them from being easily damaged.
then there is the superhero suit approach. What is the best way to cover them in latex without a sprayer? And any tips on general first time building.
