If Robert Zemeckis does direct the Flash movie, he can definitely pull off Flashpoint Paradox. Back to the Future became an instant classic, we jumped right into Doc and Marty's friendship, we were dropped into the middle of their lives and we fell in love with all of it. The BTTF commentary does admit there was so much exposition and backstory explained it was at a point of ridiculousness, but it may work with Flashpoint. Its exactly what we need if we're being introduced in an already established universe with already superpowered characters.
If anyone can pull off a crazy time travel story that needs all this explanation and exposition, its Bob Z. That is, if he does direct it. Just start off exactly like BTTF with news headlines, tv reports, newspaper articles, photos, anything to help make sense of what's to come. The timeline and the ripple effect can be focused on, but the real theme would be Barry and his wants over needs and how his choices can change the world. Its a big scale story but also a personal arc, using flash(lol)backs as they did in MoS can help the audience see why Barry wants to change things, we can bounce from the present, to the past, and then continue with the story once we've gathered enough info to know what's going on. If they McFly the film, I think it can definitely work!
