Fixing what always bugged me about Ghostbusters 2

The "Two" logo may not actually be a Two. You see, what we know is holding up two fingers (index and middle) can also be seen as actually the V for Victory. Seeing that they were "back" after having their case overturned and their ability to practice paranormal investigations again in the city, they updated their logo to actually be a V, because they've got a victory (and is also doubles as a subversion because when you turn your hand around and flash the V, it's actually the British equivalent of the middle finger).

As we see with the game, they end up going back to the original logo after some time. So, clearly they did it as a bit of a jab to the local government for trying to keep them from doing what they do best: busting ghosts.
I see what you are saying but the simpliest explaination for the logo change is they wanted it because it was the second film. Fine for the advertising, craptacular for the in movie universe return.

I don't know if it was that moment or a different one, but it is ironic you say what you did -- right after one of these moments of the P.M. flashing the 'V' to his troops, he looked over at a group of captured German soldiers being led off and swung his arm around so his hand was facing the other way toward them.

I'm fine with the logo used in the marketing of the film but not as the business logo in the film. Always bugged me as a kid. Actually didn't like the Statue of Liberty stuff either both of those things didn't make sense to me. If you saw a giant statue, no matter what it symbolizes walking down the street you would be terrified not cheering and glad. The other thing that bugged me was the nanny ghost part.

The Nanny ghost thing makes no sense as Janoz wasn't dead, just possessed. Now maybe you can say due to his partial possession by Vigo, it was a weird astral form.

Ah, those little cultural differences.

Seems like the ghost giving a sign for peace and them throwing a big red no on top of it seems weird too.

Customer: "Sorry guys someone got scared before we noticed it was just Gram-Gram visiting us from beyond. See she's even giving the peace sign to say it's all good. False alarm."

GB's: "Light her up!!!" *Zap*, *Zap*, *trap*.

A ghost is a ghost, doesn't matter if she's stopping by for a friendly visit from beyond. That old hag is getting thrown in the containment unit.
