First Pic of Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern suit?

Eh, it's ok. I prefer the moer traditional costume, though. Maybe the costume will change over the course of the film, like, it starts off looking more like Abin Sur's outfit, and then becomes more like Jordan's outfit from the comics.

As for the "It's a nanosuit created by the ring" that part is accurate, from what I can tell, with the comics and with all the various Corps out there. There are certain basic, common patterns, but not everyone's outfit is identical.

Looks like Tron but that won't stop a lot of people here on their quest to combine led lighting and material over the next year.

Looks like he's wearing a prosthetic piece on his eyebrowns for a constant frown and mask connection with the skin... But I don't like that suit, why making it so organic ? o_O

Looks like the suit is made up of green tinted silicone. Look at the mask. It appears somewhat translucent. I like the suit. It plays well in that the powers are generated by the ring!! Looks somewhat organic....I'm actually looking forward to this one!!

That image is all photoshopped. even the seam lines on his gloves are drawn on.

look at how the green on his neck just fads out.
I know 0% about green lantern, was his suit part of his skin?

As a total non-fan of Green Lantern (actually I always thought his suit looked stupid) I really like it and this makes me interested in it.

Yeah, definitely photoshopped, but that's not surprising, considering the suit will be mostly CGI.

I think in the new continuity at least, that the suit is generated by the ring. It's not part of his skin, it's like an energy field around him. It's alien, certainly, but not exactly "organic." Not like, say, Spidey's symbiotic suit. GL's suit is more energy-based.

Which is probably exactly what they're looking for. Design the thing right, and you bring in the non-fans, knowing that the fans will still show up because they CAN'T turn away.

Really?!?!??!

Are people so weak they can't turn away from what they see.

I am as big a James Cameron fan as they come, but Avatar just looked lame to me.

Never saw it in the theater.

The fourth Harry Potter movie bored me so much I skipped the last one and have no plans to see the next one.

I guess that's why you folks bitching about movies bother me so much. You seem to ***** and go anyway.

The only vote you have is in your dollars. Use it.

im really not feeling this costume. i want to see the movie ebcasue its not all about the costume. he's tied for my favorite superhero with booster gold.

I'm looking forward to the film, but I'm not lovin the suit from the looks of the pic.

I like this one better....

Let's hope DC can back it up with an engaging story and stunning effects. I'm hoping we dont see any Van Wilder acting from Reynolds. It's his turn to get serious.

Hey, I agree with you, but you know how fans are. Some fans ***** and moan and complain and yet they still go see the films...which basically just tells Hollywood "Keep up the good work!" Me, I do vote with my wallet. I've still not seen: Wolverine: Origins; Transformers 2; The A-Team; etc. I mean, why should I pay money for crap I don't like?

But you KNOW how fans are. They do exactly what you say: complain, and then pay to see it. This is why Hollywood knows it doesn't have to try. Star Trek fans could ***** all they want about how the engine design looked funky, how the new Kirk was annoying, how it didn't make sense that Old Spock and New Spock were in the same scene because in episode blah blah blah they showed that couldn't happen, etc. They still made New Trek, and the fans still went and saw it.

All Hollywood has to do is make it just close enough that the fans don't revolt outright, and then they can do whatever the hell they want with the story. They know this. And they're proven right every single time.

I'm looking forward to the film, but I'm not lovin the suit from the looks of the pic.

If that photo is accurate to what the final look in the movie will be - and I think it's probably safe to assume that's the case - it would appear they're going for a "seamless" look. If you look at the higher resolution version, check out the neck. There's a tiny fade-out. I don't think the suit is supposed to be a "suit" per se... judging by appearances alone, it looks like it's supposed to almost be part of him without a simple seam where the costume material begins and ends.

no. what you do, is you sneak into the movie after paying to watch one you did want to see, like i did with jonah hex(after paying to see ateam), or you get a bootleg(which, i still think /fox/ released it early because they knew wolverine was a stinker to make people that watched it with out effects give it a chance to see it be the same dumb movie with them) when it comes out, like i did with wolverine. i'll waltz into thor. if green lantern gets progressively worse, i'll see it at a cheap theater.

ateam was enjoyable. everyone should see it.

Apparently it's a reboot of the original movie, but without Joss's involvement. Sounds like a remarkably bad idea if true.

According to the magazine (I just got it out of the mailbox) its a "motion comic" based on the first 19 comic books, released on iTunes and DVD. So I guess since its basically animating the comics, it does have Joss involved?

Anyway, its in the Comic-Con section, I'm sure there will be more on it next week
