This is one of those builds that look so good, & you see the skill of the builder, & you think," Wow...I bet I could do that !!". Then you go out & buy materials & realize,"...oh yeah....I'm not that talented!":facepalm

Great build though. I can't wait to see a full-on working video.

Thank you, that has made my day! There will be a video soon. I'm in the process working on the sounds and attaching things to the motherboard. Its taken a little bit more time due to making sure there is room in the pack to fit things or finding room outside for others

Motherboard completed. Speakers and all electronics wired and tested. Alice frame is attached as well. Tomorrow I add the finishing touches such as decals/stickers and then add the straps to the alice frame.

Excuse the bathroom photo and my scruffyness. I finished putting the decals on and adding the straps for the Alice pack....and of course i had to wear it..it felt awesome. They only trouble i had was putting the thrower back into its little v-hook.

Tomorrow with my wife's help I'll upload a video and then a few pictures

Well it's hard to believe after almost a year I have finally completed my proton pack. I finalized the location of the batter set up a kill switch so I wouldn't have to fumble around with unplugging/replugging the power when i needed to....this makes it much easier.


To finish here are a few last pictures and a little video for all the hard work that went into it. The video is in 2 parts and hopefully you will enjoy it. Thank you all for being a part of my build!!

Thank you! I am not a real wiz when it comes to programing boards so it was a kit I had bought.

As for the contact, I could give you the persons contact info but he has chosen to not release his files anymore. So I'm not sure if that would help you any

The light and sound kit cost around $200. There was a lot of extra that I had to get to make it work such as the amp and various electrical components. I'm very happy with the kit. It was a kickstarter that I had joined in on, but it wasn't until after my kit that a pretty big problem happened with creator and a few people. Its a drama fest that pretty much was the result of boards not being funded to people who paid for them and led to the person being banned/blacklisted.

Yeah the kits can get pretty expensive for adding lights and sounds. Not to mention that they can be very scarce at times depending on who is making them and if they have a number of them available. There are a couple on the gbfan boards that sell them, you just have to catch them when they decide to make a run

I loved how your wand had the extender at the tip it really added the icing to the cake it was fantastic

Thank you, that part was really hard to get working for something so simple. The extender i put together using a servo and attached to the lever, then cliped a piece of thin metal rod to in an the other end is seated at the bottom of the acrylic tube with the light.

The kit I used was a throwing chicken V3 roughyl about $180

There are a few more one the boards. Nickatron has a kit and he is in your area I believe and its a pretty nice all in one. it was a tough choice between Nick's and TC's kits

I doubt he will be willing to help you out, as you've admitted to helping Videobob. In this post: http://www.therpf.com/f9/emails-ive-recived-videobob-178695/index4.html#post3013087 you admit that, and mention you're modeling stuff for him; if you can 3-D model, why are you so hard-pressed to get Adam's pep files?

It's not any harder than doing other 3d work...Just don't make things too detailed because they are really hard to pep.

Thank you everyone for coming to my thread and taking time to check out my build. While I can understand the interest in a pepakura proton pack, I just want to be very clear with everyone.

I will not be giving these files to anyone, the creator does not want anyone using his work anymore due to problems with their misuse. I'm am not giving his contact information out either at his request. So please do not ask for the files or for contact info.

I'm here to help in any way with building others proton packs or give advice. The pdo file, I'm sorry are a no go. I hope you all understand
