Fiberglass Resin? Grail Tablet

I am working on my Grail Tablet from Jmtwo and I want to build up some foam and wood to keep it light. Then I just want to pour something over the top of that to just seal it all together. I was thinking of just getting a thing of Fiberglass Resin and just pour it over the top to seal in the foam and wood. I have never used it before and I just don't know if this is possible. Do I need to use the Fiberglass Matt with it also? Any ideas on another product that would be better? I was thinking of just slathering bondo all over the back, but I don't know if it would be strong enough over a large area like that. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks,
Jeff

Fiberglass resin is mixed with hardener...you may want to read up on it..you have to wear some form of mask...respirators are reccomended.

Bondo, same situation, but you have to sand it...it doesn't just smooth on naturally...unless your quick.

Someone with more experience can chime in for me...but practice before you try it on your piece IMO.

A can of expanding insulation foam should fill it up. Once the foam cures you trim it back down flush. That will fill it and keep it very light.
