That I found rather odd since the whole purpose the kid went there in the first place was to score more food. I could understand if they encountered more than one walker but they only ran into the principal so why ditch all that food? Then again, they're hardly the hardened survivors that the cast of the Walking Dead are and probably got spooked by their encounter and just wanted to the hell out of Dodge, fast.

True, maybe they don't exist in any form in the universe just like zombies don't. Well if nothing else this universe has been spared decades of badly made b movies with no vampires and zombies lol

I believe Michonne cuts a cardboard Frankenstein in half when they go to the Walmart stand in, I think it was season 4, so the rules on what does and doesn't exist can be a little spotty.

It's funny too that Kirkman is so adamant that there is no Zombie fiction because they use the word pretty frequently and far into the prison arc in the books. I think he may have decided at that point that he wanted something different so they mostly don't use "Zombie" anymore.

Well monster movie zombies might not exist but I wonder if it covers the voodoo zombies? That's where the term comes from to start with so assuming Voodoo exists they could eventually just get the term from that even though in voodoo they don't go around eating folks.

For a show that only has six episodes (total) before it disappears for over a year, they're not doing much to entice anyone to miss them.

I hope they scamper off and reboot this cast. I can't recall the last time I really disliked a group this much.

Well, I am glad I am not alone. I know the Walking Dead is essentially a Hollywood remake of the Comic and changed a lot, but from the very beginning there were likable characters (and characters that you were meant not to like). Somehow FTWD seems to be a purely Hollywood concoction that has no heart or soul at all and the most uninspired cast I can remember in recent history. It was an absolute struggle to get through the first episode and I am not sure I can find it in me do trudge through another.

Watched the third episode of "stupid people doing stupid things during an emergency". What a way to waste time waiting for Walking Dead to return...

Druggie and Reuben Blades have the strongest survival instincts. Look at how he knew where to find the gun. In a survival situation someone like him can get you through. Daddy right now is a puss but will get tough as this goes along. Remember this happened in Atlanta we just didn't see it happen. Before it went bad from our POV michone and Darryl would have been just a drug dealing, racist biker punk, and a Chardonnay sipping better than thou ass.

I really liked the scene when they're driving down the road and the city's power grids go out.

I'm skeptical, given the scope of the series, but I hope they show at least one massive military battle (and defeat) before the end. I always wanted to see the Battle of Yonkers in WWZ, but they didn't show that at all in the movie.
