"Father Goose" Destroyer refs needed.

Mill. Falsehood

Okay, there is a *very* funny movie starring Trevor Howard, Cary Grant, and Leslie Caron called Father Goose, and at one point Cary Grant's character Walter is in his launch and being followed by Trevor Howard's destroyer. I want to make a diorama of this scene (with a tiny Walter flipping the bird to the larger ship) for my dad, as it is our favorite image from the movie. The problem is, I have absolutely no idea what type of destroyer it is. There is a pennant painted on the side, ML 363, but that does me no good without a name (the number was never used in the Royal Australian Navy as far as I can tell).

Can anyone here help me with what class this ship is so I can look for either a kit or a good set of plans? Since this was a relatively low-budget America movie, I think the ship is American by design, so that could narrow it down.

Here's a pic of the ship:

I'm sorry it's not in focus, but you can make out various features. Jaynes may be a good place to start.

Look around on Navsource.
You boat is to small to be a destroyer.
Might be a patrol boat.

edit: the shape reminds me of the Calypso that was a converted mine sweeper.

The ship in Father Goose is not a destroyer but an American designed and/or built Coastal Minesweeper of the Bluebird Class. Several were constructed in other countries such as France and I believe Belgium or Holland. I believe they were designed primarily for the US administered Military Assistance Program (MAP) and served all over the world including Asia, Europe and the Mediteranean.
The gun forward is a Bofors 40mm. American minesweepers were equipped with twin 20mm AA guns.
In spite of searches for models of this type vessel I could not locate any models except for one time when I discovered one manufactured in France of one of their class. I believe they were Sirius class.
That is all I can tell you for now. Wikipedia has information on this class of vessel.
Sincerely,
Dan
