I just got the silicone for making a high heat mold, and the pewter casting stuff. Wish me luck.

Pewter mold finished.

Not happy with the results at all... lots of pits and the whole thing looks warped. The mold is flat so I dunno why. I powdered the mold before pouring. I forgot to heat the mold before castings so I'm going to try that tomorrow.

Much closer. Did a gravity pour with a wooden backer, turned out much better but I had the mold squeezed too tight.

Interested in all material makes, but prefer metal if possible.

Not anytime soon, working on other projects now and never got a pewter casting I was happy with.
