Found this article on FaceBook, pretty cool looks like a group of SW fans from all over the world got together and went to the dessert in Tunisia and put Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru house back together like it was in the filming.

Or maybe Lucasfilm will speed things up and take care of it when they start filming Episode VII... :lol

Been there a few years ago and it was in pretty bad shape, so it's great it's getting the love it deserves

Well, appreciate the effort... but I do not like having this one restored in any way. It should have been preserved instead of restored. For me... all the magic has been wiped away. Especially when you look on the "before" and "after" pictures. It feel like someone painted over the Mona Lisa cause of the colors started to fade and the oil paint began to crumble.

The Mos Espa set in Oung Jmel is about to be buried by a dune.
In a couple of years, it will have to be dug up if someone wants to see it. It too, will be in need of restoration once it has been dug up, or the dune has receded naturally. (if anyone is still interested by then, that is ...)
Silly of Lucasfilm to build a city in the Dune Sea ...
Anyway, this is just an exterior set built by Lucasfilm. Several previously existing buildings were also used for Mos Espa, and they are not threatened.
