Family Guy: Its A Trap! (Spoilers)

After watching it the first time, I went and dozed off listening to the audio commentary. I laughed more in the second half of the movie than the first, and there was a reason why. There were two different writers and the dividing line was the bike chase. Cherry Chevapravatdumrong (Yup, had to look up her last name) wrote the first half and if I recall, it was David Goodman who wrote the second. The first half was as dry as sandpaper. I honestly did not start laughing until the second half. The funniest parts of it were the slams on Seth Green.

I feel like I've gambled and lost on this one.

When did they start letting her write entire pieces? I thought she was only a minor writer because they mention her being hired (talkign about her name being tough) in the stewie untold story commentary.

Well, like I said, she said she wrote everything up to the bike chase. Oh, they did hammer Seth MacFarlane hard at the end too. Those bits were almost worth $10.

lol. I bet this is the last time they let her wrote more than a few jokes here and there. Well we got it to watch on xmas day.

Yeah...it was pretty meh. No where near as good as RC:SW3.

Blue Harvest was the best of the three but I think I probably like all of the RC specials better than the Family Guy ones.

I like the "it's an old code, but it checks out" and "Ah good - our first catch of the day" jokes the best. That, and "You're about to get your period.. that's kinda how I found you" joke, which really made my wife laugh.

well i liked it. anyhoo. loved the bikini troopers and the new take on ewoks.. the speeder chase was funny as hell too and to see osama hiding on tatooine was funny too.... each to there own i guess.

My son got this for me for christmas....it is sitting under the tree. I want to watch it soo bad.

Well, that's just great. You hear that, Ed?
Bears.
Now you're putting the whole station in jeopardy!

I liked it better than the second one. I had some laughs, while the second was tedious.

Perfect casting for Joe - no legs. Chicken Fett always gets me. The Bike chase.

The music really made that series, didn't it?

It wasn't as bad as I had feared then again Jedi wasn't all that exciting either. I've seen a lot worse that's for sure.

I'm the only guy here who liked it?

I thought the ship modeling in Blue Harvest was amazing for a cartoon. I felt Darkside had been shorted on a quality level compared to Blue Harvest. Trap was better than not-bad, because I lowered my expectations tremendously. :lol

I loved the special editions sock puppet.

Oh we liked it i was just saying that i've seen far worse. The head nod thing was the worst part. That sock puppet was about dead on too. I really do think the studio held guns to their heads to make this one though. I could tell it wasn't written by the same crew who did the old episodes and the stewie movie.

I thought it was okay. Seemed they went for more shock factor. The pillow fight was hilarious and so was the vader reveal scene
