Hey there guys I'm brand new to the forums and figured I would post something I made for a Halloween event at work a few years back. I was playing a LOT of Fallout 3 at the time and decided making the plasma pistol and a suit to go with it.

Here is the finished product and some pics of the suit! I even mounted it it on the wall after I was done. :]

Whats most shocking in the last pic is not that I've lost 50 pounds since I took these but the super rare wasteland cat captured that will surely eat me at any moment.

I didn't take very many pictures at the time but I have enough to show some of the process. I started with an MDF block for the main body which I sanded and put some primer on. The ridges and inlay parts on the sides there were made with styrene sheets and half round rods. On the top are some big washers that I cut notches in and glued in place. I used a clear tube obtained via a shipping company (thanks for the tip Volpin). The prongs on the end were just basketball air needles.

Funny enough the metal pieces on the bottom of the block and the chord connecting it to the bottom were purchased from Lowes in their bargain grab bin. The rest is just some normal wire, MDF handle, and some cut off bolts.

Here's another pic of the final product.

I'm currently making a gun from Ratchet and Clank that I'll post up soon as well hopefully. It's going to be HUGE.

Thanks for taking a look. :]

Oh I do have an energy cell on top of it that just fits into a little holder I made out of a deodorant tube hehe. It hid the battery for the green LED. I dug through my old pics and found a good one that shows it.

I'm glad you like it!

seriously impressive, there's quite a collection of fallout 3 props out there now, great work!

I appreciate the comments. :] I'll have some updates on my Ratchet and Clank Constructo Pistol soon.

Update time!

The cool thing about the ratchet and clank gun is that it's very modular. I'm taking advantage of that and building it in "small" easily workable chunks.

I think I'll make a new post for this as I'm going along but until then enjoy. :]

Here are some of the pieces by themselves after spot putty and about 4 coats of primer and sanded.

Here is one of the barrel with attached thingy.

And finally a mock up of what it will one day become. Handle goes at the bottom, and all the little details are yet to be made. For an idea of scale, those are 12x12 tiles on my floor.

Hope you enjoy.

Wow, so I fell into a major setback. This setback is called Minecraft...

Updates incoming in a few days. :p
