Here is the finished product and some pics of the suit! I even mounted it it on the wall after I was done. :]
Whats most shocking in the last pic is not that I've lost 50 pounds since I took these but the super rare wasteland cat captured that will surely eat me at any moment.
I didn't take very many pictures at the time but I have enough to show some of the process. I started with an MDF block for the main body which I sanded and put some primer on. The ridges and inlay parts on the sides there were made with styrene sheets and half round rods. On the top are some big washers that I cut notches in and glued in place. I used a clear tube obtained via a shipping company (thanks for the tip Volpin). The prongs on the end were just basketball air needles.
Funny enough the metal pieces on the bottom of the block and the chord connecting it to the bottom were purchased from Lowes in their bargain grab bin. The rest is just some normal wire, MDF handle, and some cut off bolts.
Here's another pic of the final product.
I'm currently making a gun from Ratchet and Clank that I'll post up soon as well hopefully. It's going to be HUGE.
Thanks for taking a look. :]
