Hello,

at moment I´ll build up a normal AMT Millenium Falcon, but the dimensions of the sidewalls are not correct (Some other parts also:cry), I still have this site in my favorites for Falcon detail kits, has somebody ordered something from www.falconkits.com ??? I tried to send some email but there is still no response? :confused
Maybe someone can help me or know whats happen with this site!

Hi,

I know thats a problem at all with the old Falcon Kit, with these parts on the falconsite it looks more better than normal. I should try to make my one Falcon scratch build or get a Fine molds, is the Fine molds out of production?

The Fine Molds isn't discontinued but they are on a two year production cycle or some such. It will be back next year I would imagine.

Hi G,

sounds good with Fine Molds, I was always shifting the purchase of a kit, the kit have been always available on ebay or several stores, I can wait :lol

SSM is great. I picked up this kit. Love it, but had to do a preorder. That's just how it is. I also purchased the brass etched vent upgrades.

Only problem with it was it originally showed coming with MF decals from JBOT. My kit didn't ship with decals, so I pinged SSM. SSM said, it was an old pic, and JBOT was having issues. So now the kits are not offered with decals. I searched on his site, and JBOT is not taking new orders until he gets caught up. His site has been in this state for months now. I actually just emailed him yesterday trying to get an possible ETA.

If anyone has a set of JBOT AMT MF decals they don't want, pls ping me.

Thanks,
-DM

They didn't give you much for the decals anyway. You got the Route 1 trucking decal for the cockpit, some champion spark plug logos for the hull (the studio model had them) and a couple other things. Granted they are nice to have if you are doing the model up as a replica of the 5 foot studio model from ANH, but the logos could be scrounged from other sources and in some cases even painted on. The resin sidewall set needs a little work, but it does the job nicely.

I have an old mpc ROTJ Millenium Falcon kit that hasn't been opened. I was planning on upgrading the kit about a few years back. I managed to get into contact with Falconkits.com, but never got around to placing my order. Are they not producing the upgrade kits anymore? :confused

Are the SSM Blue Moon upgrade kits just as good? I noticed they have a few parts to dress up the back panel where the engine vents are located.

JMChladek - - What did you mean by "needs a little work". Is it to do with the fit or the details on the parts?

Now I'm wondering... how hard would it be to scratch my own sidewalls? Would be it worth it?

Hi Pierre, and everyone else!

Pierre, I just searched my e-mail and didn't find any incoming mail from you. I'm still in business!

If anyone is looking for parts, I do most of my work in the summer (as I'm a high school Latin teacher in "real life"). I have full kits, partial kits, and of course, the etched brass bits.

Let me know if any of you are still looking for parts, or just hit the website (Falcon Kits Home Page).

Thanks all, and I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone by not answering mails!
