Face casting question

I've decided to try and improve my fledgling make-up skills to improve my costuming, and I've been able to get a cast of my face done. I believe what my friend gave me is Supercal. I've already poured a solid face I can use for vacuforming, but I'd like to make a hollow one with a bar in it for molding appliances. I've been researching, but haven't found anything that refers to adding a bar inside. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this, or can refer me to a place with good tutorials? I'm not afraid of research but I have no clue where to go!

I got my information from a book I ordered through Indigo that explained the process. Special Makeup Effects for stage and screen by Todd Debreceni.
It's about 300 pages, and covers pretty much everything.

My first "bar" experience didn't work out. The idea is to have it light but well secured in plaster that you won't
rip it out…I ripped mine out. lol

I can explain the process to you if you want, or you can check out that book. Hope this helps?
