ezio costume

ever since assassin's creed 2 came out I've imagined myself walking around new york city in Ezio's outfit and I think I'm ready to make it. I've studied the costume for probably a year and I need some help with the costume. I've planned the whole thing I will purchase the leather from a tandy leather factory in allentown, sculpt the metal bits and cast them in smoothcast, buy some white denim material and some red and brown material online, then go to a custom embroidary shop in my city. but I have some problems I don't know how to make the slits in Ezio's doublet, and I can't find good instructions on his hidden blade. I know the difference in Ezio's and altair's blade but I want to make a perfect working replica of Ezio's hidden blade please help if you can.

NOOOOOOOOOOO. NOT WHITE DENIM!!!!!!

Seriously, DON'T get white denim. It's a pain in the ass to sew, it won't be comfortable, and it won't hang right. I'm using gabardine and it's probably the closest thing you can get to the game's graphics.

As for the blades and anything else, I'll do some research and see what I can do to help.

The slits in the outfit are classic rennaisance fashion. If you can find a pattern that uses the same style, you can scale it to the sleeves for your use.
