I'm not a former police officer, and I thought the juxtaposition of the setup and visual punchline were hysterical.
No one's laughing at the pileup or the people who were injured in it. The laugh is in considering this is the mess Lindsay Lohan would have caused if she had driven off from the jail given her previous history driving under the influence, acting criminally and hijacking a car.
It's called irony. Sometimes it's a good setup for a dark laugh.
Comedy is not pretty...

Okay I get the "laugh" you were trying to go for.
And if you had posted a pic of say a scrap-pile of a hundred cars on top of each other at say a wrecking yard- it might have gotten a chuckle out of me.

I've noticed lately that there are some members on the RPF that think they can use whatever pictures they want for laughs if they put in smilely pic or an LOL. You can't fix bad taste with just an LOL.

I think it's safe to say that if anything like that road pile up happened to anyone of us here, including jvasilatos, that we would take it very seriously. But since we're neither victims, witnesses or friend/relatives to the folks involved, it can be looked at with some silliness at face value. I mean, remember the show COPS? That series was hilarious to watch sometimes, but if I was a cop, I'd be scared to death about being in any situation where they had to handle a dispute.
And besides, Lindsay Lohan IS bad taste.

If I was one of the victims I would totally want people to laugh over the stupidity of these idiot drivers. Lighted up people. I'm so sick of the holier then thou attitudes lately. I'll bet $2000 cash that every one of you people that posted and will post in this thread have laughed at someone busting their ass and getting seriously injured on TV or the net at some point or another. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

And before someone tries to call me out.... I've been in some bad car accidents in my life.. I've been hospitalized and gone through over a year of physical therapy due to some HORRID drivers ..... and guess what? I laughed.

When you've had somone die in an accident, it no longer becomes a laughing matter. So, guess what, I'm not going to lighten up. Maybe some of you need to grow up and quit acting like little kids.
