ESB Off The Shelf Background X-Wing

Here’s my recently finished version of the ILM off the shelf background model x-wing used in “Empire Strikes Back”. I used an old AMT/Ertl kit for the base and gave it and “on the shelf” at the archives look.

This was a fun one and although it doesn’t have lights like my previous build the challenge was in the painting and weathering.

I really want to have a go at one of these at some stage. Seeing this is inspiring.

Great work. There are newer and higher quality X wing kits, but you can never beat the fact that the old MPC kits were used as an actual movie prop!
