Episode VII Vader Helmet anyone??

It was one of the first things I thought of after seeing the movie. I was thinking along the lines of a clay sculpture or so.

... Hmmm... maybe I'll take a crack at it now that the movie is out, and that scene was one of my favorite most chilling moments... Can anyone help with solid pics and thoughts on proper dimensions?

The dimensions should be the same as an unburnt one if not a little smaller

From this pic it looks to be 2/3 of the helmet. I wish we had a shot of the other side... It will have to be artistically rendered, unless actual prop photos are around. ... So what are the dimensions of the actual ROTJ Helm?... Or if any one has a link to dimensions would help me from scouring the Internet and possibly getting it wrong.

you gotta wonder though, is Anakin's skull still in the helmet? (in ROTJ, seems like Anakin/Vader was getting cremated with helmet on, rather then separately........)

I tried paying attention when I saw it and it looked like his head was still in it. It was hard to tell but I felt like there was too much stuff still filling the helmet for him to not be in it.

I mean I guess his whole body could have burnt to ashes, but being inside that insulating suit I thought that would have been the opposite.

Actually, his body should have "dissolved" upon his death. It happened to Ben & to Yoda. Since Anakin was redeemed, one would think he also disappeared into the either.

Just picked up TFW visual dictionary ... Indication is that it's empty... Also from the angle of the helmet, it appears to have melted into itself partially on the backside.

but only two jedis have ever "dissolved" on-screen (Obi-wan and Yoda), every other jedi in the prequel, including Qui Gon died like a normal person

I thought the explanation was that Qui Gon found a way to stay active or whatever after he died, then he taught that to Yoda and Obi-wan, chances are that he probably didn't share that with Vader

yeah true

better to believe than knowing there is a skull inside the helmet, that would be super creepy even for a Sith/dark sider
