The time has come for our Ultimate Hero. Faithfully recreated from photos of the original Hero prop, we bring you a super-accurate rendition of this iconic hilt! And to make this even better, it's being delivered in our Ultimate Collection format - more goodies than you can shake a stick at! As you expect the best, we've cut no corners - real copper, reinforced neck, easy to install, and superb machining. Specs:
The body is CNC machined from 6061 Aluminium.
Real copper neck and control box top.
Custom heatsink 'cup', made from 7071 Aluminium to reinforce the thin neck.
Built for a 1inch main blade.
29mm ID lower body, 1 inch ID ribbed section.
Correct, accurate features including LED arrow size and uneven ribs.
Included:
1 x Ultimate Hero hilt.
1 x Accurate blade plug.
1 x LED heatsink 'cup'
1 x Collectors box.
1 x Vented pommel.
1 x Unvented pommel.
1 x Switch PCB (with built in LED's for the arrows) for clamp card activation.
1 x Themed stand.
1 x Collectors name plaque.


The saber will come in a collectors edition box with foam inserts to protect the parts in transit.


Preorder price is 215 Euros (190GBP), including all paypal transaction fees. Retail price (if you wait) will be 260 Euros (230 GBP)


During the early bird preorder, a 50% refundable deposit (95 GBP) will be collected. Once a prototype is in hand and approved for production, you will be informed and deposits become non refundable. The final 50% plus shipping will be requested once the sabers are in the final stages of machining.


The deposit request will be sent to you within 24 hours after you sign up to join the run.


As with all of our sabers we will be partnering with several other community members to provide chassis, installation, custom displays/name plates and other services as required.

I see the different width grip rings, is it also going to have the forward angled plunge cuts in the grip?

Interested... few questions, the grenade section will this be a matt black like the scenes in the cave build, or similar to the finish on then KR also the copper will these be clear coated or in a the raw finish?

We will be aiming for a semi-satin anodizing here, like the references we're using.

We will not be clear coating the copper, it will age naturally like the original has. They will be polished to start and aged by mother nature. Currently activation is at a uniquely designed clamp card area, but we're discussing having activation at the black slider.

If you mean the V shape thats black between each of the rings, they will be correctly V shaped like the original.

The parts will screw together, lock and twist can be unreliable to actually hold parts together and makes for a nightmare for QC.

You have some more time, we're working on the prototype now. Once the prototype is done we will revisit the pricing, so another 2-3 weeks max.

Also, will there be an official newsletter type announcement regarding the clamp card activation and black switches being functional? Since some people wanted one and other people wanted the other, was wondering how you guys would set it up for either to work.

As I usually do there will be a small window between when the prototype lands and when people can get the early bird price, about 3 days.

The price will go up a little after this until they are in hand and then it's retail pricing.

There will be a big announcement mail coming to all on the run soon to welcome everyone and give up the schedule, as well as the final details.

It will be able to be activated using both methods.
