G'day folks,

I have one of those kits on the way. I don't know how good it is ect...have to wait and see. It does have a base.

I was thinking in using the alclad II process for finishing. Since I have never used it b4...Do you paint the cables and aluminium as well? I am ok with the build process...it's just the painting. I am going to be limited to just paint where I am. Any tips, advice ect would be most appreciated. Oh...and show off by all means:)

Warm Regards
Christain

I recommend you visiting, or even signing up: http://www.endobuilders.com

I posted very useful info about the arm kit, also an Xample of AlcadII in a tutorial. Very good finish to say the least.

There's also info on an acrylic tube.

See you there?

Lit and unlit. Base rotates the arm slowly it the motor is switched on. A BBQ spit motor used because it is heavy duty, cheap and rotates slowly. Not my build. Still working on some sort of top for the tube.

Sir-Round...I signed up some time ago....am still waiting to be approved...maybe you could remind them for me? LOL I'd love to read your writeup ect

Eltee...WOW... Looks nice mate. I like what you have achieved. Is that arm a kit or was it built from scratch?

Hi Taz, sadly our forum owner has left for... Well... Work or something and isn't around...

Although I have some mods privileges I'm not allowed to fiddle with signups.

That forum will go to hell if not taken care of.

Anyway, wouldn't like to get you Xited over nothing, I'll look up the interesting stuff for ya and post it here.

Great tutorial for the kit

Another great one.

***Rebuilded the original tutorial of LFS***

These are very usefull, but I still haven't figured out how the hand was supposed to work in real life.

The first link is a tutorial with AlcadII, judging from the images it's pretty good for the arm.

Have a blast on your kit.

Ok, so I'm not the only one waiting for approval for that forum then. Yeah, if you could pass on a reminder to the owner that would be appreciated.

Cheers - oh and Eltee, that pretty cool, can I ask about the source of the base?

I'm trying to get in contact with the owner. I can see that people where able to sing up the last few days though, so I don't know what's the holdup?

It is looking like a ghost town but Round and I are trying to keep it going. If it closes for some reason I will do my best to get a new one up. The problem is only 10% of that are posting. Says we have 48 members. That is a wealth of information if everyone would post and share.

Thanks.

Greg

Oew YES Hopkinator, we need more of that input.

Guess what? I'm admin for now, our forum owner has family crisis and is gone for a while. As far as I can see (I'm new to admin rights) the signup process is automatic for users. You probably need to activate your account through an email link.

As far as the arm kit goes, you can also get a kit through frontiermodels, but it's likely the same kind of quality as the Thai kits.

I got an original LFS arm kit through eBay, but I must say the fingers are pretty bad.

Hope to see you fellow Endo lovers there.
