Re: Elizabeth Taylor gone but not forgotten

I just saw this on the BBC website when i was reading the news. I thought she was alot older than 79. She'd been around forever.

Re: Elizabeth Taylor gone but not forgotten

Sad, but unfortunately given her age and medical condition was bound to happen...

Hey, she made a lot of great films and lived a life some of us would kill for, but there it is...

She lasted pretty well for an old broad; AFAIK, only Zsa Zsa is coming out ahead thus far...

She actually was quoted saying "I only have another year or two in me" right after Michael Jackson died. Friends said she was never able to right herself after he passed away and sort of gave up.

cue weeks of documentaries, repeats of liz taylor movies etc for someone who was at best an average actress. sad that she's died but she'd had a good run as they say.

Worth posting a photo or 2, Those eyes man, just...Wow.

Average actress. Apparently you've never seen Butterfield 8, or Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Cleopatra doesn't count, that was a movie where everybody's performance was crap.

Yeah, dude - "average" -- C'mon -- National Velvet, Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Suddenly, Last Summer -- you must be thinking of every actress working today. She was incredible.

I can tell you that you are in the minority on the judgement of her talent! :lol

Stunningly gorgeous. A fantastic zest for life.

Certainly the quintessential movie star.

But yeah after a certain point more famous for being famous. But loved her as the Mother-in Law in the Flintstones.

RIP Liz.

And we loose another great one.............
Liz and Dick, a legend of love that shall never die.
Together again? I certainly hope so!
