eFX - You pick the contest

We are very excited to announce, as our holiday gift to you, a very special, exciting contest to give away a truly amazing prize . . . . wait for it . . . one of our X-wing prototypes! This was used as one of our development evaluation models.

Now here’s the catch . . . YOU are going to come up with the contest and its rules! This can be questions, puzzles, scavenger hunts, tasks, charity events, etc., the only limitation are your imaginations. Obviously, it cannot be anything inappropriate, offensive or costly. The contest can range from easy to “somewhat difficult.” However, anyone must be able to come up with the correct answers or perform the tasks with readily available materials.

Everyone who gets the right answer or successfully complete the task will be put in a random drawing.

We want to hear all ideas, so be as inventive and creative as you can be. You can type in your own ideas or add on to any ideas presented by others. On Wednesday of next week we will pick our 5 favorite ideas and on Friday you can all vote on which one is your favorite. After we decide on the contest, we will establish the rules.

We are really looking forward to what you come up with!

Might be tough to come up with any ideas that don't favor the idea contributor.

That being said I suggest a Canadian beer drinking contest.

Seriously I think it should be a contest so that the winner is someone who otherwise couldn't afford or create something like this themselves.

Possibly nominate a friend or something and tell their stories. Judges determine who wins. Should be someone who deserves a nice treat like this!

I thought I had misread the original post but where does it say 'HELMET"?
Do you have additional info about this as from my reading of Amys post this is for an XWING not a pilots helmet? I think a nice Helmet would be excellent...

How about people getting pictures of places that look or sound Star Wars related? Like a sign from a shopping center named "Imperial Plaza" or something. A building that looks like R2D2, etc. Whoever can find the most wins.

I've always liked the contest that Toy Fair does every month. Someone sends in a pic of them and a celebrity holding up an issue of Toy Fair. The one who sends in the biggest celeb gets some swag.
Maybe do up like an official "eFX rocks the props!" (just a suggestion) printable page. We could print it out and if we come in contact with a celeb, have a pic of the RPF member next to the celeb while celeb holds the page. Then have the celeb sign it. The pic and the signed page gets sent to eFX spokesperson. Give it like 30 days. Whoever comes through with the biggest celeb before the deadline wins.

Oh, wait. Here's another one.
Remember how we would make a toy race car in Scouts from a list of specific items only to be used? Well, same kind of theme. Someone (the folks at eFX) would post up a parts list. ONLY the items on the list can be used...say, under 10.00 worth of groceries. Whoever makes the nicest x-wing out of the given parts wins the prize.

How about a contest for the most imaginative contest idea?

Design your own astromech droid . It does not have to be an R2 unit, but any type of droid/robot that keeps you companion in space, in the air and on the ground.
Think up new gadgets/utensils/attachments and other types of features that the droid could have.
The most fun, inventive and original droid idea wins.
