eFX SCOUT TROOPER HELMET LEGEND EDITION!!

Let's wait for the Legend Scout LOL. Supposedly made out of thin ABS, the Legend should be exactly for people who like props that are very accurate. But will it be made like the screen used? Two thin ABS halves joined together, with reinforced strips? No full padded interior, but the hard hat system instead? I doubt it. It will already be idealized. How far the idealization goes? We'll see if this helmet will ever be released. We got a Limited Edition that is closer to PCR helmets...

Another good one would be: Order it now and get it when we feel like getting around to producing it.

Don't know if it'd call people who pre-ordered this dumb. EFX pulled a bait and switch here; they sold a screen-used helmet that looked really good and then delivered crap.

Hi, please don’t take my British self-deprecating humour to heart (I preordered both the Limited and Legend Helmets). EFX has made us out to be dumb fools for laying down coin for a supposed screen accurate helmet, only to be delivered something that a loooong way from that.

Cheers

I can say that personally, this makes me incredibly wary about any statements that may be made about the Legend Stormtrooper, Legend Fett, or really anything else this company produces from here on out.

This company has shown they’re happy to lie and tell their customers anything to secure preorders. They’ve been doing it for years and will carry on doing it.

If they cannot do a correct fiberglasscast, they can never build the legend helmets like the Originals.I built a kit myself and it needs a lot of time to make it correct. This guys in china will never become this time.So the only way is to make it from ABS plastic like the ANH PCR Vaderhelmets. But thrust me..that would be the best way because all helmets would have the exact same dimensions. And when the mastermold is good..all helmets will be the same. They should make some hundred of this Scouttrooper plastichelmets from the money of the wonky fiberglass ones and give every buyer a PCR version for free.

Ok, I just received an email update from eFx regarding my Scout Trooper Order...

It has you completing a link for payment, with the following options...

Then from the "pull-down" menu (where the red arrow is pointing) You will see several options:FULL PAYMENT ($0 Balance) - INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ONLY: This option is for the international customers who paid in FULL when placing their pre-orders. This will only calculate the international shipping cost.
Balance Payment - $499: This option is for the customers who placed a $200 deposit when placing their pre-order and want to pay the $499 balance in FULL and receive their helmet immediately. Applicable sales tax and shipping will be added to the total amount due. Please note if you are an international customer, all duties, taxes and fees levied by your country are your responsibility and will be billed directly from FedEx or other shipping company.
Payment Plan #1 - $175: This option is for the customers who placed a $200 deposit when placing their pre-order and want to use our payment plan.
Payment Plan #2 & #3: These options are for the remaining payments if you chose the payment plan. Payments are due every 30 days from Payment Plan #1 payment. However, you can make the subsequent payments sooner, if you like. Please note that with Payment Plan #3, applicable sales tax and shipping will be added to the total. If you are an international customer, all duties, taxes and fees levied by your country are your responsibility and will be billed directly from FedEx or other shipping company.
Full Payment - $699: This option is for new customers to purchase the helmet, if any become available after all of the pre-orders are fulfilled.
Please note that since we launched a new website since the pre-order, you will have to create a new account on the new site to complete your order.
Please let us know if you have any questions or need help in completing your order by sending an e-mail to CustomerService@EFXCollectibles.com

Ok, so after going through all of the above, there is no category for those of us whom "PAID IN FULL" and "ARE NOT INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS"?? What gives, am I missing something here?

I (along with a couple people on Rebelscum apparently) tried emailing the address in the email they sent today, and heard back promptly from Bryan Ono regarding the lack of any option for USA, paid in full customers.

Nothing needs to be done, email inadvertently sent to all who preordered.

I pre ordered and have had no such email.
In that case I think I’d try shooting them an email. The address was: customerservice@efxcollectibles.com

I was actually shocked at how quickly Bryan responded. If you receive no response you could always try the email he replied with: Bryan@efxcollectibles.com

As for EFX vs the RS helmet, I haven’t seen any comparisons yet but I know there are several people who bought both (I did.) I can try to post some comparison shots when the EFX arrives.

I would keep up the email pressure on eFX and Disney. Odds are the lids that are shipping are hostages of one of the many faulty runs that eFX had to deal with. Only after the rebelscum assault were they worth ransoming... to what I expect will be everybody's disappointment.

..and of course we’re still to hear of anything from EFX regarding the Legend helmet. So I agree, Disney needs to be reminded of this.

So when I went to the link - it gave me an option for USA - 27 dollars - I thought the shipping was already paid for many many years ago - why should I have to re-pay for shipping? Sigh. At least something has come in for the money spent several years ago - I wish we could be paid back the interest on the money we gave them years ago.

Thanks. Emailed both to make sure.

So would those who have both RS and efx say that the RS is better ?

RS Prop Masters Scout is cast from a production made helmet, and it is made the same way as the originals: two ABS halves joined together. Even the interior is more accurate with the hard hat system (though it needs a slightly different one to be 100%), instead of full padding. RS is way above the Scout LE, and I bet it will be above the Legend if that will ever be made as well. EFX is licensed though, so if you are only interested in licensed stuff, you have this option

i completely agree with jkno, the RSPropmasters is a 'warts and all' direct copy of the originals (see recent review on my site) whereas the EFX Legend will be an idealised but licensed version of one. Of course we won’t be sure how accurate the Legend will be until it arrives so you can expect reviews around 2020 if we're lucky ;)

The EFX Limited however is a HEAVILY idealised replica, wildly different materials which has resulted in some seriously compromises over the accuracy, including the visor and those awful looking pivot 'bungs'.

Cheers
