eFX A New Hope Darth Vader Helmet

This has been posted before. I'll check if I can post something clearer. You can say it's an added feature, sure... but on so many helmets, from so many makers? A detail appearing on more than 1 Baker mold cast. Where's the logic in that?

You can clearly see in that pic that the scratch and the mark next to it are not even in the same spot as on the original.

I can't believe I read through like 20 pages of this thread. You guys are just as insane as the Fett guys.

I have news for you vader experts I've learned over the years with Fett. If you cannot provide pics to backup your claims, you are not an expert. Your word means nothing.

Post the pics already gino, I'm sure you have a prototype in hand or made a copy.

This is all baiting so Gino will show the "experts" his reference so they can feel like they are on his informational level. Gino has pics you guys want and he won't give them up.

I have to disagree ZK.
I could care less about Vader. I'd like to see SOMEONE post their "proof". What's the point of trying to convince someone of something if you can't provide proof?

Goes both ways Wes, there are SO many castings with this supposed detail and not one of the guys who has one has the nuts to show it.
Maybe you should be telling all them that.

I disagree your making the assumption Gino has to prove something. He is not the ones throwing the accusations around. Inocent until proven guilty. The people who make the accusation are the ones that need to show proof.

Why does Gino have to post "proof" of anything? He's the only one on here who we know actually worked on the eFX project from the original Baker moulds with the blessing of Lucasfilm. This isn't some fan project in a garage somewhere. It's the real deal. That's good enough for me.

Like it or not, he now has the official pedigree.

I agree totally...

I clarified by saying "SOMEONE"

Either way as far as I'm concerned. Someone man-up

I think you misunderstood my suggestion gino, I was referring to the Baker mould. Since you've told us everyone else is lying about the C-scar, I was saying that if so, you can easily proove them liars about the Baker mould since you are the obvious expert having seen those moulds in person. I don't want to take the word from "liars". I'd rather hear from the "expert".

gino doesn't have to prove anything. That project is a sell out!!!! Woo Hoo!!!! And well it should be, purdy helmet as it is. Purdy paint job to go with it.

Bryan, if you are reading this, us true Vader fanatics would be overjoyed to see the face portion of the moulds for both the dome and the facemask. I for one have never seen the Baker mould except from campfire stories.

gino, don't be timid about posting proof. Some of us might actually agree with your assessment. I for one think you are the cat's pajamas!!!!! If it weren't for your involvement in this project, none of the guys around here would have been able to get such a fantastic paint job!!! Before you came along, nobody gave a turd about a C-scar or a divot. :)

Actually Wes, gino is the only one making the accusation concerning the C-scar, I can't remember what number the post is, but he says that all the other Baker derived helmets are a farce if they show the C-scar....and that their source contributors are liars. His words. Everyone else has simply cordially disagreed with gino but he may be on to something. I'm betting he's correct that everyone else is a liar and I'd like to see those moulds so people will lay off of him. I'd be committing a crime if I didn't also say that I'd like to see the moulds just out of sheer curiosity. I have to admit the pics would answer like a hundred questions that I intend to ask gino. An expert is an expert after all.

Dave :)

Hmmm... seems like someone predicted that those who are just WANTING there to be a problem with this helmet would simply jump to a new argument as soon as the current one was answered. One would think I had a crystal ball or something... but no, it is just that the true intent of some people is shining through the veil of faux concern.

First of all I'd like to say I'm beyond happy I snagged a Legend. Second, thanks Gino for continuing to post answers to everyone's questions, and great job on the helmet. Finally, can anyone say OCD? Let it go already. If the helmet isn't good enough for you, then hopefully you didn't buy it. Honestly, I'm willing to bet Lucas could play a trick on all the Vader fan experts, hand them the real deal, and not knowing it was the real thing, they'd pick it apart. I undertand wanting it to be as close to accurate as possible. But come on. It isn't even the same from scene to scene in the movie. It's also been decades since the movie. You aren't EVER going to get 100% perfectly screen accurate. Can we all just be happy that the helmet was given as much love and care by eFx as reasonably possible, and that it has a direct lineage to the original Vader helmet?
