Edward Scissorhands

Hey People!
I was watching this movie today and I was wondering if anyone had attempted or made any props from Edward Scissorhands? One of Tim Burton's finest films in my opinion.

Perhaps his scissorhands? Kim's christmas gown?

I for one would LOVE to see a small sculpture replica of Edward's Kim ice statue from the end of the movie, his scissorhands and perhaps not a replica, but i would love a small music box that played some music from the movie

Did not his creator has some drawings or "how to" book laying around in the beginning?
indeed and I am sure making the fake cookie dough like stuff they call playdough would make some excellent cookie props for the show too.

i have been trying to find good screen shots oh the scissorhands but i got a chance to see the tim burton exhbit at MoMA and the had the full costume from the movie and it looked like some of the blades on the fingers were around 5"-10" long and the metal i think went down to the second joint on the finger. the blade on the thumb was short and looked like a can opener type of blade. most of the blades were old scissors broke in half. there was a band about 4" to 5" above the wrist join and was attached to the glove and the think wires from each blade (mius the thumb) went into so it looked like it was to be the muscle's of each finger. if i can remeber any more i will let you know.

Seriously thinking about doing a pair for myself (being, me and my GF, big Burton fans)...
But I'm still in the "planning" stage, and I'm afraid it will last for a long time, unfortunately! Damn real life, always ruining hobbies and fun time!:lol

Original bought by Michael Jackson at Christie's auction :

The Scissorhands look incredibly complex :/

I'd love a pair of them, along with the Book that had the plans for Edward in it and perhaps Kim's Christmas Dress with the blood stain along the shoulder

This is on my "dream costume to-do list" But right now, I don't have the time to even begin such an undertaking... *sigh* Someday...

But I'm pretty sure that Sithcamaro did this costume including the hands

That would be an amazing project to see realized again. Someone out there has to have tried it by now right? I'm sure it helps that the film is on Bluray now. That at least provides for some better screen caps.

I'd say the real scissor parts are from all over the world and all different time periods and different kinds of scissors for that matter! Then there are a LOT of fabricated parts in there as well!

Deffinately an AWESOME prop! But that is gonna take some serious legwork to get remotely accurate.

EDIT.................

After looking at the high res pics the blades almost look plastic or rubber... Which WOULD make more sense. But man they really looked real in the movie! And I thought Jacksons were real metal. I don't remember where I saw that.

Would be interesting to hear more! I would love to do this costume as it's one that is rarely if EVER seen!
