My wife was reluctant to sell her Biker Scout armor but we need to the money so we put it up on eBay and the buyer is backing out due to "buyers remorse" which is total ********.

Since we cannot post negative feedback to buyers (another BS eBay policy) I'm putting out a warning to all to place eBay user pidg77 on your bidder blocking list.

I'd contact Ebay if I were you and see if they can't force him to buy it since he bid on it. It is now his responsibility to go through with the agreement he should have thought about before he went through with in the first place.

My favorite is when they use the "My kid was playing around and accidentally bought it" excuse.

But when you bid it says something like "by bidding you are entering into an agreement to purchase this item..."

Or is Ebay just willing to let anyone run riot nowadays?

Ebay makes nothing from buyers, so it's no big deal for them when they back out. It just means the seller has to relist and Ebay makes more money.

Yes I hate this no negative policy, but If it becomes necessary in the future my intention to type -----------------NO PAYMENT--------------------

Exactly. They don't make buyers take responsibility. I've reported him and they wont do a damn thing about it. Damn I hate this.

They'll give him a non-paying bidders mark as long as you file a dispute.
3 of those and he's off eBay.

There's no negative feedback, but the dispute system works well.
I just had to use it for a non paying bidder.

I can see the reasoning for the changes they've made.

Comes as no surprise, the "bay" is a cess-pool now.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you

i realised after i posted, as this popped up in a current thread at the bottom similar threads part..
But I might hold a record!

"eBuyers" is all about protecting the buyer, and some-what protecting the seller.

I've found since we put:

"Buyers Remorse will not be accepted as a return excuse."
and
"ALL returns will be charged a 35% handling fee for unpacking the return, checking the items for damage and repackaging for new listing."

Before anyone says "you can't do that" oh yes you can, and I've won every case where the buyer disputed it.

I also just went through a "non-Payer". he claimed that his bank had messed up a transfer into his PayPal account. I was #$%^ off because another buyer missed out on my item and then purchased something from another ebay seller using up funds....
I did go through the Ebay Complaint process which did work and has since added a non-payment to his account. And they credited me with another auction fee....

Just sucks when you try to auction in good faith and a buyer flames out!:darnkids

Lets hear it for OLD THREAD REVIVALS!! Hip Hip Horray!
