Easy facial scars for costume?

i don't remember the scar too well, pictures would help BUT if the scars are recessed, you can use rigid collodian. If they where thicker on the skin, you can use scar wax and latex but I'd push silicone. 3rd Degree from Alcone is GREAT and SkinTite from SmoothOn is made for on the skin silicone build ups as well. Experiment!

Hmmm... scar wax and latex with some make-up to match your son's flesh color would be my first suggestion. However, there is some problem with running through the hair. Just about anything you put in it, is going to act like gum... and most of us know how hard it is to get gum out. The only way I can think of would be to use a wig over his existing hair... which becomes less of the "easy" part you were looking for.
What about mixing a wax based hair product with make-up to match the color of the scars and using that in his hair, while using scar wax on the face? That's the quickest and easiest way I can come up with.
