Party is ON! May 23rd 11:00 am to 5pm. Tour and Dinner afterwards.

I Just realized that THIS is the wrong hall: Schwenksville Fire Hall, 300 Main St Schwenksville, PA

You want the LOWER FREDERICK FIRE HALL ON SPRINGMOUNT RD! It is around the corner from the above one. DON'T go to that one...go to THIS ONE!!!

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?name=L...gitude=-75.461449&geocode=ADDRESS&id=21647136

This is for the TWP bldg which is NEXT to the fire hall (Mapquest can't locate the Fire hall...oy) The Fire Hall has a BIG set of steps in the front with a canopy and has a huge sign that says "SOCIAL HALL" (or some such thing).

Sorry. DUH.

It is only a few miles from the Lansdale exit of the PA TPK. The Kulpsville Best Western is RIGHT across from the TPK exit.

The hall rental price is still the same so it would be $20 per person, $35 per couple for hall space, 2 to 3, 8-foot tables (if needed), snacks, all-you can eat and drink lunch, etc etc.

If anyone wants to come on Friday night, we always have a pre-party dinner with some folks, coming in from out-of-town.

Just let me know in-advance if you will be there. My e-mail is sdstudios@aol.com if you have questions.

See you all there!

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

23rd would be best for me, as I already have the day off. I'd have to attempt to get a vacation day if any other of those dates are chosen, but slots tend to disappear VERY quickly for Saturdays at the Post Office.

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

I would attend any of those dates. I usually work on Saturdays, but could make arrangements.

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

I should be able to make any of them work. I'm in Norristown which is only about 20 minutes away. :thumbsup

What does 2 to 3 mean? O'Clock?

I think that means you get two to three tables.

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

What is the general etiquette for these prop parties. I assume that this is for vending and showing off our work, but I've never attended anything like this personally.

Any rules, categories, guidelines? Can anyone advise?

-No nudity.

-No blatant profanity.

-No animals (except mine).

-No lasciviousness.

-No drunkeness.

-No wenching.

-No killing other guests.

-No politics. (That goes for me too; I just can't do it anymore).

Other than those, just have fun, get together, network, show off your work, buy/sell/trade stuff, eat, drink, be merry.

You know, the usual... :) There is usually a trip back to the SD cottage to see the collection (if anyone wants to go; if not, no biggie.) and a Sat night dinner.

Many people have told me that this is the only time they actually get to meet/see other board(s) members in-person, so happy to facilitate!

There are a LOT more restaurants around here than last time...somebody actually decided to develop Schwenksville. We even have a CVS now...we are a metropolis!

Oh, and the "SD rule". If you bring something, and I like it, it is mine. :lol

jk.

Since this is right around the corner from me AND there are no politics I will be there...count me in for one table of show off stuff...guess what the theme will be...duh.

Re: East Coast prop party! Yup, this time for real...

Thanks for the info Steve! I'll be there will bells on, no doubt. Sound like my kind of fun. ;)

Cool. Maybe I can make it out there. Mapquest says you are only 2 hours away.
