E.T. Beer can

Does anyone know what kind of beer cans were used in E.T.?
i know they were coors, but i couldn't find any clear pics.
i have the neca replica and just got a robe and speak and spell, now he's thirsty!

Lol... I have my ET with a robe, speak and spell and flower pot too...
I've been kicking around the idea of a six pack of correct beer sitting by him.
I'll have a look as I took some screen caps last year for this reason.

Definitely. The only thing is that it seems hard to find the right year.
The ones in the film were just after the time the "pop top" was introduced and the pull tab was discontinued.
I always find "close with pull tab" cans on eBay.
It's hard to tell in the photo above, do you know if that is a pop top pack?

I see alot of the pull tab ones too. And they have holes in the bottom to drain out the beer.
Any idea what the oz. should be?

That one in the pic looks like the old pull tabs so they may have had prop beer from before the current pop tops were introduced. This thread's made me nostalgic now.

I do know that they used the pop tops in the film, that was as far as my search got a year or do back.
