E-11 Blaster parts help

I'm looking to acquire a sterling pistol grip for an E-11 prop that I'm going to construct. I figure I can make (or acquire) just about every thing else except for that part. I have tried to get one online, but unfortunately there are laws regarding the export and shipment of parts from restricted weapons, even if those parts are plastic, which the sterling grip is.

Is there another facsimile out there, other than the Kenner/Hasbro stormtrooper blaster that I can use for a more realistic appearance? Either that, or if someone has a spare grip, I would purchase it from them.

Any help or advice, would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Michael,

If resin is all that is available...it will have to do. I appreciate the link.

Thanks,

Hi Nick.

Resin, or real parts - if real parts are not option due to the laws, resin is all that is left.

But from all the parts the grip is the one with the smallest problem to be had in resin. The original had a metal inner structure, but that was completly covered by the original plastic shell, so both feel close to the same.

Well, its only going to be used for display, so resin will do. I'm just concerned about the quality of the casting. On that website it is difficult to see the detail on their pictures.

Thanks again Michael.

I never had anything of their stuff, but they have a really good reputation.

Many of the 501 Stormtroopers have used their Hasbro modding set, or the Pipe build set, and in the last time the new one, a complete resin set.
At least in the F.I.S.D. Forum doopydoos is highly recommended.

I have their pipe build set the quality of the casts is very high with little or no cleanup. I have only seen pictures of it so far but I think the endcap for the complete kit is lacking in the shape of it's ring so you may need to remove that and put a metal one on.
