DUNE Harkonnen Sardaukar pistol -finished-

Finally finished this one the other day. Always liked the look of this gun and was surprised nobody ever replicated it (well, i saw a replica once on ebay, made of wood).

It is a gun we only see holostered in the movie so i had to work with a picture of the original i found on the internet (which also stated the lenghts: 10") You never see the reversed side si i assumed it was identical with the exception of an ejection port as it looks like there was one. So i had to guess what that looked like.

It has been a project i have been working on for the past years on and off. Last weekend i put on the final greeblies and gave it a coat of primer. I already made molds of the barrel pieces and will be molding the main gun in the coming week.

Thanks guys. As soon as i have molded this thing i'll do a small run in the JY. Rivets are indeed a tad bigger (1.5mm), but they were the closest ones i could find over here. Since this is basicly a lower key prop i didn't mind too much about it.

I've been on a real Dune fest since Rylo announced he was making the hunter seeker (which arrived this week and is wonderful)

Really enjoyed watching the special edition which adds a whole different dimension to the movie and I am re reading the book for the millioneth time.
