Dundee 2018

^^ Why are you "happy" that it's not real? This has some real potential... who cares if it was made?

I can't tell if you're serious, but if so...because what I saw looked terrible. And because I typically despise mockery-type comedy, for exploitation/low-hanging fruit reasons (especially when a pretty decent original product was involved, as the original CD was)

Looks like it could be in the vein of 21 Jump Street... which turned out pretty good, IMO.

The smart thing to do would be to bring back Peter Faiman who directed the first movie. He is a legend here and did many of the Paul Hogan Show`s and The Don Lane show which is regarded as the benchmark of Oz television.

One night Sammy Davis Jnr was driven into the studio in a stretch limo after his concert and just talked and jammed for nearly two hours live. I worked with Mr Faiman a few times and he is a genius.

Guys... This is a real movie and those are real scenes. You'll see.

Think of this as a type of new marketing meant to slowly ease you into such a big reboot. Especially a franchise like Dundee. I hated everything about it at first, but now I wanna see it. That was the idea!! They had to take a new marketing approach to make this work where many others have crashed and burned lately. And it's working.

Either way, its a brilliant idea.

In other words, it took Australian marketing ingenuity to convince us that reboots are a good thing.

Not working for me and certainly not with McBride...he really doesn't do anything that makes me want to see a movie with him (I had to force myself to watch Alien Covenant with him as as a "dramatic actor":rolleyes). Please Australia, keep it as a Super Bowl add!!

I don't care as long as Donk is in it. He has to have a Donk.

Ahh...The Donk. What about Son of Donk?:lol

He and Mario Milano were my mums favourite wrestlers back in the day. Was in a truckload of Aussie movies as well and always pictured him as perfect for a Mad Max film. What were you thinking Dr Miller?

Perfect name for the movie as well as Donk is slang here for a big engine.

Well I think that if this gets off the ground it cant be classified as either a remake or a reboot, especially if Paul Hogan is only doing a cameo.

I would be way more interested in spin off films like that than remakes or reboots.

Guys... Last video posted has a supposed cast list. Margot Robbie is playing Lil' Donk. It's at the 1:34 mark.

And I got punked hahahaha just an add for Australia. I had visited this thread in awhile. I'm a little disappointed its not real

Based on the buzz, I'd hope someone, somewhere, is thinking about moving the project forward into an actual film.
