Of course this story is ridiculously untrue. It's just another one of Sarednab's lies. But for giggles let's assume it's actually true. If it were true, don't you think Sarednab would be happy to accept a return and then make and additional $180 per bottle? Multiply that by three bottles and that's another $540 in his pocket. Why wouldn't he be agreeable to that if these are in fact the same bottles as he claims?
The reason is simple. Sarednab can con us here on the RPF and we have no real recourse against him. Sure, we can leave him negative feedback and such, but that's about it and he will always be able to keep our money. eBay is quite different. We can open disputes on eBay and the buyer wins every single time on eBay. That's just the way eBay is. Notice how Sarednab is careful to point out on his eBay that a bottle is defective when he sells the "bad" bottles under yet another eBay username comprarobe(833 ):

The pictures on the listing show the bottle you are bidding for. So, what you see is what you'll get.
On eBay, he actually tells you the bottle is a reject. He also takes the time and effort to take photos of the exact bottles he is listing for sale. What he's doing is trying to minimize the likelihood of a buyer complaining to eBay that what he received was "not as described". If a buyer claims this, he wins for sure in an eBay dispute.
Sarednab never disclosed anything to us. For us he just took photos of some perfect bottles, made big promises, and then he delivered us rejects. When we complained about it, he told us the bottles were handmade works of art and we were retards and philistines for not understanding that. Then he sold the perfect bottles on eBay for $529 apiece. In a nutshell, this group buy crowdfunded his run of Blade Runner bottles and he sold us the rejects for $349 each and he sold the best bottles on eBay for $529 each.
Once again, I ask: if my three bottles are the "perfect" bottles selling on eBay for $529 apiece, why wouldn't Sarednab be happy to accept a return and then make an extra $540? The answer is that these are not the same bottles. Sarednab knows full well that if he accepted a return on my three defective bottles, he would have to disclose the defects on eBay and he wouldn't be able to sell them for $529 apiece or even $349 apiece. Rather, he would have to sell them for the $200 apiece that he is selling the other rejects for on ebay.

Sarednab was busy last night and he edited a great deal. Again, he edited the first post in this thread that listed who the buyers were. But he was also busy on his eBay accounts. For those of you on eBay, you know that you can search for "sold" listings to see what sold and for how much. When I ran that search yesterday, there were five or six of the "perfect" bottles that sold for $529 or OBO. There were also at least a dozen of the defective bottles sold with the photo of the BR bottle in the Santa Claus outfit. Notice how all of those sold listings are now gone. This is because Sarednab made his sales private to hide his tracks, just has he edited the first page of this thread to hide his tracks. This is what dishonest people do. It's not surprising.

This is the account that he used to sell the "perfect" bottles. Even though Sarednab tried to hide his tracks by privatizing the listing links, you can see in the feedback what are obviously feedback for the perfect bottles:
Again, had he not made his sales results private (which eBay allows you to do), you would see half a dozen of the "perfect" bottles that sold. Add to that at least two more perfect bottles mentioned in this listing:

That's about eight perfect bottles that eight of us didn't receive because Sarednab reserved the best bottles for himself and sold them on eBay for a premium after he used us to crowdfund his run of bottles and sent us the reject or at least the mediocre bottles.

But note that it's not "sold". It's "ended". That's different. A seller can end a listing for various reasons and eBay doesn't list that item as "sold". Rather, eBay lists that item as "ended", which is what happened when Sarednab did his rewrites of history last night.

Here are the three bottles I purchased from Sarednab:
It's hard to show in photos how badly a bottle teeters, so I'll try to describe it. All three bottles teeter back and forth. The bottle on the left stands straight while the two bottles on the right lean to the left. You can see the difference in angles a little better in this photo:
I bought three bottles from Sarednab because I wanted to keep one for myself and give two away as gifts. That is why the November ship date was important to me. I wanted to give the two bottles as Christmas gifts.
As you know, the Christmas thing didn't work. But more importantly, the bottles were of such poor quality that I didn't give them away as gifts.
The other day I decided to clean the bottles and sticker them up and I noticed water spilling from one of the bottles. Then I saw the hole. I never noticed the hole before. I'm not sure why, but I think it was because the hole was on a corner of the glass and the light didn't glint off the hole the way it did on the air bubbles, pits, and other surface imperfections that really show up when you reflect light off a flat surface.
I PM'd Sarednab about the hole but he told me to get lost.

Notice how Sarednab doesn't refute anything I say. He just calls me insane and asks the moderators to protect him. What a coward.

I heave read this conversation very carefully and I'll try to gove my honest opinion here:
1. I agree that Sarednab could be more clear here on the RPF about things that could be perceived as "flaws". It's just good PR, I think. Not mentioning these little flaws and then after people receiving the prop and mentioning it, saying it's a result of the fact that the bottles are hand made, is not really a satisfying answer. Don't get me wrong: the statement itself could be correct, but why not mentioning this up front and show pictures of what kind of flaws people can expect? This could prevent a lot of bad feelings afterwards. I can imagine that "explaining the flaws" afterwards, when people have paid and have the props in hand, can be seen as a poor excuse for flaws that were known up front but not mentioned.
2. My bottle has two little flaws: a very tiny air bubble and it wobbles a tiny bit when standing up (no real teetering). I also have the first version of the bottle and that's perfect (no air bubbles, stands up perfectly). So if I compare both, the first one is better in quality, but I would have been perfectly happy with the second bottle too. And people who know me, know that I'm a VERY critical prop collector. There are only 2 or 3 prop makers here on the forum that are able to deliver a prop to me that is perfect to me. One of them is Rylo. Sarednab is not (yet) one of them, due to small quality issues. But Sarednab is also the one that tackels props that were never tackled before and are hard to do: the Hook, The Grail Knight Sword, the False Grail, The Book of Secrets (a prop that actually is Rylo quality), etc... So Sarednab is defenitly in my list of people to follow, because he comes up with unique projects.
3. You mentioned the non-fitting cap. I brought this up, but come on. That's a detail! OK, one that would have been nice to know up front, but not a show-stopper! The cap is actually fitting, it's only smaller than the previous one.
4. The hole... There is something that's bothering me. You contacted Sarednab in December to complain about the little flaws, but didn't mention the hole? You didn't notice it? You noticed the tiny air bubbles, but not the hole? Sorry, that's very hard to believe, to be honest. I would also not accept a bottle like that, let this be clear, but I can just not imagine not noticing that kind of damage! Something is strange there...
5. About Duck9000: you suggest there that he is a sockpuppet of Sarednab or something? Out of curiousity I checked Duck9000's profile, and he's posting all over the place. Not only in Sarednabs threads. I don't see why he would lie about his bottle...
6. About eBay: I know Sarednab works with some people to do some runs. I can imagine that different people from his group sell on eBay. Most of the time Sarednab also mentions that some leftovers will be sold on eBay. Don't see anything wrong there. Nothing prevents you to buy his props on eBay instead of the RPF.
7. About altering the opening post: this was done weeks ago, not a few days ago. The date of modification is there in the post.

First of all, sarednab made the bottle threads to help me selling these bottles. Blade Runner Johnnie Walker Whisky Bottle was my dream project since 2009. What you received is what I sent to you!!! Yes I sent and I am sending the bottles to our customers, all bottles are professionally inspected and no one has been sent with broken parts. So the person you are accusing is my best friend that only has the fault to have helped me in this and the past project runs. It'll be filled with Johnnie Black and I intend to drink from it regularly and admire its beauty while I'm drinking. I was promised three perfect bottles and I got two rejects and one with a hole in it. Against my better judgment, I will accept a replacement bottle but only if it is perfect. You still have at least two perfect bottles in inventory if what you wrote in that "perfect" listing is correct. So send me one of them and we'll call it even.

For your information, I take ALWAYS care of my customers. If someone received something broken I immediately sent him a replacement prop, IMMEDIATELY. This could be confirmed by more than 300 customers that I have here. A prop could broke in shipping, it’s not customers fault, so we reship it with NO problem.
BUT if a customer play with a prop received 2 months ago and HE broke him...it’s not my fault!

Do you think that me and my partner not talk about this? So my partner offer a bottle mean that I not offer it?!? Sorry but I think that people talk and discuss before write something and in a team when a decision was keep is from all team. From my side, in my country, a team work in this way.

I’m a collector (maybe you too). Everytime I receive a new prop I look it in every angle (cause I wait for it for many time). In the follow week I continue to look the “new prop”, just for satisfaction! IF I buy a bottle and there is a VERY VISIBLE hole (you can check again his pics of the hole), I immediately look it.

I've known Sarednab for years & I can vouch for him, my Cross of Coronado broke during shipping & he immediately shipped me a new replacement, if that's not good customer service, I don't know what else to say...
