My Sidkit is an unplated pewter version, painted in automotive semi-gloss black.

I had two of the phillipes resin and one QMx resin,
and I have sold all but the Sidkit number 012.
I had some build tips and info in the thread, and my friend's came out like this
which is gold rub-and-buff over the semi-gloss black, sealed under a clearcoat.
Mine is mostly done
but I haven't achieved a finish I like yet (and I haven't messed with it in a couple of years.)
I like my Sidkit and it is a great display gun.
I wouldn't recommend such an expensive purchase being used as a holster gun.
The thumbscrews will break off if glued on;
they will damage the soft pewter shrouds if attached with set screws as I did.
The Sidkit has the weight, feel and look that a metal Mal pistol should have!
