i am leaning towards wanting the ILM look, which would be blue skin and semi-glossy. this is what i am requesting with my depost.

Don't know about that. If you look to the picture from ILM on the first page of this thread, the bullets clearly have a glossy coating. Off course, in the movie, these were animations, so to be accurate to the screen, you might be right that a matte / satin finish is more "screen accurate", although this term is very difficult to use for something animated. Personally I don't mind the glossy finish, but I understand your point...

Ok guys! We have the final colorations!
You can choose which one you prefer and I'll add it in your name in list!
PLEASE EVERYONE let us know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE the coloration needed. We'll start hand color work at end of this week. If we'll not receive any notice from you, we'll start with the MOVIE VERSION coloration and there will not be possibility to be change!

This movie version seems to be a good move ;-). Personally, I think the movie version dum dums have much more "character" than the glossy museum version. But hey, it's a personal choice of course...
