I use a paper towel holder with a Styrofoam ball embedded on the top...seams to work well.. My TFA helmet hasn't distorted in the last few years, or my Begins cowl
BG, I've been looking for several options to display the helmet and I was wondering what kind of stand you would recommend ?
I've been trying to decide between a "classic" helmet stand and a "full" head. What would you think would work better and prevent the helmet from warping ?
Yep I have the same helmet..almost the same set up..minus the wire...but that looks like it works well to hold the chin strap out in position
Just my 2 cents - I have Finhead's TFA 40 shore urethane helmet and I use a regular helmet stand. I use a foam square in between the ball of the stand and where it props up the helmet to prevent it from warping. I also use a hanger wire for inside the helmet to maintain the right width. Both the foam and wire are removable. Been displaying it like this for over a year now, helmet still looks as good as when I first got it.

Both the WS and the new TFA will fit a 24" head, they are rubber and you can put padding in, my head is a 22.5" head and with a bit of foam it fits well..you can see in the pics I have... All the info for prices are in the thread but the WS helmet is closed for orders right now, the New TFA is open for deposits though..

Looks like they work great, the towel holders I get are from the dollar store so $1 each plus a Styrofoam ball 2/$1...but I need them to hold the helmets while they dry...so I have about 10 set up right now..so I needed cheap
I wanted to throw in another idea as well. I'm using a very cheap and effective solution right now for my Reevz Hush cowl - I previously tried using Styrofoam mannequin heads but they were a pain and never looked quite right.
Now I'm using simple plastic wig stands. They are super cheap ($11 for a six-pack!), black plastic but look great under a cowl.

The ones your talking about are my twin brothers props...so I have one to compare..they "cheek" parts are wider and the leathers are thinner than the one your talking about. So it will fit a slightly bigger head more comfortably.
BG, any idea if your helmets are bigger than Finheads TFA?
Also I've been asked several times if I will make resin casts.. the answer is not.. sorry my molds are not set up for that.. so rubber copies only.
