I have a problem with this thread since Tony of Sword & Stone (the original maker) still makes copies and probably would not appreciate somebody recasting his work. Just saying.

Curious, did Tony obtain the license to produce and sell hooks?

It will be perfect and it will have all engraved decoration on it!

I don't see how this would be recasting as the OP is modeling it from scratch using the origional as a referance. Of course in a sence this whole site is about "recasting" someones work, one way or another. Because no one here has the rights to these items.

The issue was when he was originally going to cast an original hook. Since the original maker is still making them to sell, that would be stepping on the makers toes. He deleted his post about using an original to mold/cast, so I can see how you missed that

So he opted to go back to sculpting it himself and not cast the original. That was the issue presented, and the issue was resolved when he decided to sculpt it from scratch.

Unfortunately thanks to life I will not be able to afford the hook at the price listed. Best of luck on this run, the hook sure looks like it will be a beauty!

I just noticed the price too, and I too (unfortunately) will have to back out. Money has gone tight again, and this site doesn't help it any, lol. I hope that I have not caused any issue by backing out, sorry I missed the price posting, hope I gave enough notice.
