Re: IRON MAN - Mark III Armor - (Started work on Chest Section - June. 2. 2011 - Page

Thanks Azurial. Good to see you around :)

Here's an update on the torso

got some more work on the front and back and tried them on for fun since I still had some clips installed already from when it was strengthened.

NICE. Looks very clean, smooth, and detailed!

So silky smooth, lol. Great work. How does the front "clip" to the back as you mentioned?

right at the point where you see the ends connect, there is a quick release buckle with a bit of webbing on each end.

here's an example with a pic from last year's attempt suit.
This method's flaw is that it would be difficult to suit up alone. You'd need help for sure.

I need to take stealth pepakura 101 lol. I'm liking the foam build. Hey stealth do you have a prob with paint flaking off the foam?

Got some work done on the Helmet and neck. Still need to do a little more refining on the details. Also need to do that on the chest section as well.

I'll take some better pics another day. Have to head out and just took these to update on what I did today. Hope you guys like how everything goes together so far.
Still far from done.

This is very impressive, especially how quickly you're working :D The foam build was also nice

How much speed do you take on a daily basis? :lol

This is all great, bud. One of my face threads. ;)

Re: IRON MAN - Mark III Armor - Update- June. 5. 2011 - Page-12)

I remember being at that stage. It looks familiarly good! Its a pain to figure out the easiest way to connect everything without using too much strappage, Lol! 3'' nylon strips with velcro sewn to works fabulously! Its soft enough to contour curves and hides ok. Keep building!....

this looks awesome, the more i look at progress on these builds the more i wish i had the discipline to work on more than one project at a time!! after my shield i'm moving straight on to my helmet, thanks for the continued inspiration!

I know, it's tough when you want to build so many things but only can do so much with your time.
