Domino/eyemask help

I'm not sure if this is in the right area, but here it goes.

So recently, I made a latex eyemask for my Robin costume using the IndyMogul method. It came out pretty bad, but usable. What happened was it came out really streaky, and a bit too thick, I think. I also couldn't find a template for it's shape, so I had to freehand something, which didn't turn out very well.
It was made from liquid latex mixed with some latex paint for color.

I want to know if there's any better methods for making a mask, or better products to use. I'd also like to know if anybody has a template they'd be willing to share.

Just keep practicing! You have the method, just need a bit more skill. Learn from your mistakes:)

I was actually thinking of a different method, using the same materials, but I just didn't know how well it would work, so I wanted to ask here if anybody thought it would.

See, the cheap mask I buy comes with a plastic covering that matches the mask exactly, but it doesn't have holes for the eyes. I was thinking that maybe I could just pour a good amount of the latex mixture into that, and then press the actual mask into it, hopefully spreading out the entire mixture to an even thickness throughout the mask, while keeping both sides smooth. What do you think?

'Kay,
Don't really understand what you mean by the way you describe the mask you get-is the "plastic covering" a vacuform of the actual mask? Any casting you want to do will need to go into a negative mold that looks like what you want the mask to look like, for best results. Otherwise, you are getting into some stuff that you might not quite be ready for. We can continue to discuss this in our pms.
