Dollar General 9inch Falcon Mod

So I was at Dollar general and picked up this cheap little Falcon for like 5 bucks. The detail was pretty good for as cheap as it was. The side walls were too big so I trimmed them down. Cut out the mandible plastic to be more accurate as well. A little paint and a sharpie to draw in the windows on top and bottom gun and looks pretty good. I basically just did this to try out some weathering and modding. I've never done this before. Totally addicted now!

Then I had to cut this own and the side walls down.


And here with a little weathering (VERY minimal to start), a painted dish, and some blaster holes sone with a hot nail and some black paint.



Still working on it. Any suggestions on glue to put it back together?

No kidding, is that 9in long or 9in tall? Looks good though, the proportions and details are good, except the cockpit is a bit large. What's the brand name?

I know right? Those side walls were way too high. I have cut them down since the pics I posted earlier. it's MUCH better. And yea the cockpit is stubby for sure. I'm just treating this as a learning experience. If it turns out pretty cool then great. When i finally do get my 32" Falcon (one day...sigh) I will be a little more familiar with weathering and chopping stuff down and what not. My favorite parts of this mod so far were the windows I had to draw in with a sharpie and the blaster damage behind the dish. I will def keep the pics coming. Working on the engine grill now.

Not sure the brand. I do know that it's a Dollar General Exclusive. Did not know there could be such a thing as a Dollar General exclusive but ok. It's 9 1/2" long.

Found a stamp on the plastic. Its made by Hasbro.
