Does anyone know what the name of this font is?

Does anyone know what the name of this commercially available font is? I've tried everything I can think of to track it down and the closest I've been able to come is Placard Condensed, which still has a bunch of differences.

Have you tried "Whatthefont" (.com? .net? Can't remember the exact URL)

It's a pretty buggy character recognition website, but it sometimes comes through.

Thanks.

I did try whatthefont (at myfonts.com) and it didn't find a direct match.

The 5 AM Gender font is pretty close, except for the numbers. I may end up using that as a base to modify from if I can't turn up the correct font. Interesting that the creator of 5 AM says that he used a font from the Batman series as an inspiration. Myaybe the font I'm looking for is the same one from the end credits of Batman?

That's a tricky one.

Our Print Department has a vast collection of fonts, but I can't seem to pin this one down. It's similar to a number of different styles, but an exact match eludes me.

Have you considered that it may be a "hand drawn" original?

Thanks for checking into it. I'm sure that it was commercially available.

Could you tell me what the similar ones were? I just loaded the previously mentioned 5 AM Gender and it would be too much work to tweak as every corner is rounded.

Thanks,

Chris

It's called Placard MT - my computer is broke. I'm writing from the Internet Café and can't send you the file.... :(

Thanks. I've looked through the entire Placard family, including Placard MT, and there are a number of differences. If I need to modify an existing font, I'll start with Placard Condensed. I'm hoping to avoid that though. Although I have the software to do it, I've never done anything more than just play around with it and it looks pretty complicated.
