What are you talking about I just want some steps on building a replica of any kind.

1. Think of something you'd like to replicate

2. Research it like crazy and ask specific questions

3. Build it according to what you find

;)

Step 1: Find a prop you think you and other people would like to own.

Step 2: ???

Step 3: Profit!

Step 2 is sufficiently broad that it could be as simple as a trip to the dollar store and a few hours worth of work (check out the Dollar Store Lightsaber thread) or require years of work and enough money to bankrupt several families.

There are no specific intructions to replicating a prop. Tutorials on how other people had made their particualr prop are available here. Some may differ from others since many people will take a different approach to a certain prop. We will study them, follow given advice, or embellish on the information provided.

As suggested, select a prop you're interested in. Then assess your propmaking skills - what kind of tools do you use, are you artistic, can you sculpt, etc. What materials are you comfortable working with -wood, metals, plastics, resins, paper, etc.

There is a wealth of information available on this forum. Take the time to look though the threads that interest you and learn what others have done.

The most impressive thing among the people here is the creativity that they can come up with. I could be mean and suggeat an arts and crafts site would be better for you if you require instructions, but give yourself a chance to see what you can create.

i think you guys scared him off!!!
I will give you one since they seem to be sarcastic.....lol

I cant remember the website but you can build the STAR WARS e-11 stormtrooper blaster , following EXACT cutouts and tutorials.
I know , that was my very first prop!!
Everyone forgets but there was such a thing.
If anyone else remembers , please post for him.....
if he comes back to the thread!
