Doctor Who: 2nd Doctor & Zoe Costumes

So for Gallifrey my GF volunteered to be Zoe from the Mind Robber since she had a good time cosplaying Star Trek TOS Science Officer and Black Canary (as well as briefly donning Ace's bomber jacket and rucksack) at SDCC and is a fan of the 60's stretch lame look sported by Yvonne Craig's Batgirl.

Suspenders and Diary are now done. I'll probably look into finding better lettering for the diary down the line as well as X backed suspenders but these will certainly do the job for now.

Patrick is my favorite Doctor - and Jamie is my favorite assistant along with Zoe! Awesome job on the costume - that's the one she wore in "The Invasion" and "The Mind Robber" right.

Thanks Dave. I'll eventually get the longer strapped/x-backed braces but that's an upgrade for down the line. I'm quite happy with these for now.

1970 - Thanks and yes that is based on the sparkly catsuit from the Mind Robber and the start of the Invasion. We're certainly not the first to replicate it but it pretty much the iconic look for Zoe and it caters to my GF's 60's taste. If I had my choice for a second fav Zoe costume to do, it would be her space station outfit from The Wheel in Space.

Unfated - If you mean for the costumes- thanks. If you mean for having a GF willing to go along with this crazyness and dress up with me - trust me, I know!

So here are some comparison pics to the 1st test version of the Zoe outfit we did in the cheaper earlier fabric we found. You can see the shift it has depending on the light- sparkly or very dull grey. But the fit is still quine nice. It's a more limp fabric so it needed extra interfacing in the collar to make it stand and it's a touch more naturally form fitting.
