I am shocked that I couldn't find any posts regarding this awesome addition to the Marvel wardrobe. So I'm just throwing out all of my research and files so other people can make the Tunic part. I haven't added the under shirt, which is what the sleeves are attached to, yet.

There are a couple details I fudged due to time but it's the best I could do without any other posts.

The fabric used on "most" of the blue is Herringbone Twill cotton.

The fabric seems to be embroidered like the cape was with the "brainy" scroll work.

I 3d modeled and printed a stamp. Mixed up some watered down dimensional paint with a lot of blue mica powder, then stamped the fabric everywhere.

I ground up "Thick Embossing Powder" in a coffee grinder to make it extremely fine.

I mixed blue Alcohol Ink along with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to make a blue embossing powder (I couldnt find a color I liked)

The only fabric worthy that I found was baby blue. I had to dye the fabric several times with different Rit dyes to achieve the color I wanted.

I sketched out the details as well as I could with the references I had taken. I then digitized it and redrew it in Illustrator. PDFs included.

It's been super crazy. Did an event for military families this weekend. I'll post more in depth pics later. Here's my group being silly.

I already started on mine! This look was soooo sick I had to make it! I have no idea how or even if I will do that microscopic braining on the tunic trim. To make the red and black piping I used Wrights brand maxi-piping, but took out the stock 2.5mm thread and put in another 1mm thread, so there is a noticeable size difference in the red and black. Then I took the piping, put a line of small cuts in the lining and wrapped a blue thread… once it’s all sewn in, it looks like a hand stitched trim. Maybe no one cares, but if you need help making this, I’m happy to share with anyone what I’ve learned DOESNT work so far.

Looks good! I’ve been trying for weeks to get this right. I’ve been using watered down puffy paint and sponges, but it didn’t work well on my fabric and I scrapped the idea. Ingenius to just print a stamp!

I know this post is a little old but I'm starting in on this particular costume and have been compiling reference images and sketching out some basic patterns to understand how everything goes together. I'd love to hear about how your build turned out and about what you maybe learned along the way.
