Doc's foam/fiberglass work + Mark 42 painted pieces

Re: foam with rondo+ update suited up pic and easiest swivel joint tutorial

Ok need 22 oz of powerade cap and a 32 oz gatorade cap. Put the powerade by glue/rivot or both to make it solid then do the same for the gatorade but on the part ya want to swivel then snap it32 cap over powerade and there ya go and swivels awesome...enjoy

You can also use certain cabinet knobs that looks like chicago screws from home depot. Just add washers for the other end.

This knob costs 98 cents and can accomodate two 1/2 inch foam mats side by side. definitely looks like a chicago screw from the side.

This is a quick battle damage tutorial like I promised when I had time I'd make so here it goes. Its not written in stone you guys can put your own twist to it but this is how I do it....
pic 1. piece before damage
pic 2. I used a small file to damage and bullet hole
pic 3. used blade to make star over bullet hole to give more realistic effect
pic 4. how it looked before paint
pic 5.painted inside damage metallic silver, srry bout sloppyness did it fast lol
pic 6. used watered down black acrylic paint and brushed over everything
pic 7. after acrylic dried wiped with damp rag and there ya go simple yet effective battle damage with bullet hole....enjoy:popcorn:)

yup the same way, but what I suggest is plan it out. Like first draw where the damage will be at and take a step back and really look at it cuz I dont want ya guys just make random damage. Another tip scracthes look better if there goin all same direction, take a look at mine youll see what i mean and just have fun with it. Find different tools for different effects and paint how I showed and youll be fine:)

Okay, good hint! I'll first test it on my old helmet - it will be Scar Man before I try it on my good Helmet. :D

Hey doc.... I am going to start doing rondo soon... I was wondering how did you set up your chest and back piece to make sure they would keep there shape? How did you reinforce them?

after chest/back was sealed with modpodge I had no trouble with it losin its shape. But with such a big area to coat i did it in sections like for chest did half of it in one coat then did another batch then did the rest. hope that helps ya:)
