Cool... I think it totally sucks they don't give AP discounts on Halloween... BOOOOO!!!!

And EvilRocketeer, do what I did, get the monthly option! I think it's only around $30- $33 a month for the Premium!

Went to the Not so Scary at DisneyWorld this past Tuesday... got in trouble. Photopass lady yelled at us that we were going to get kicked out even though we weren't doing anything they said we couldn't do. ( NO signing autographs, only allowed photos with other guests as long as we told them prior that we did NOT work for the park ). Was not impressed by her. Anyone else ever have similar incidents or suggestions for avoiding said situations in the future?

what did she say? what was her reasoning?

People were asking for pictures with Travis ( my BF, as Jack ) and she said he needed to stop immediately or security would be there any minute and escort us out. I told her we were told by another cast member upon entering that it was OK as long as we did NOT sign autographs and we made it clear we didn't work for the park and if people still wanted pictures then it was up to them. She said ' It doesn't matter. If they think he's the real Jack he can't take pictures with them.' ... I told her once more that we were telling EVERYONE we are not employees, people who asked for pictures even laughed and said they already knew and they just liked our costumes ( I mean...we were wearing the wristbands and taking pictures of each other around the grounds ) and she just persisted " No, he can't take pictures with people. Security will be here so fast. " And not in a pleasant im-trying-to-help-you way either. Quite threatening!

That's when I just told Travis we had to go, pulled him away and left a pile of heartbroken children ( and parents ) behind. BoOOoOooo...

edit: also, Travis can't do a Jack impression to save his life, so needless to say he also wasn't 'acting' the character AT ALL. Just hangin' out with his wench...

edit again: there were also a LOT of full face covering masks and I heard quite a few kids say " mommy, that's scary!!! " to some other guest costume choices...thought these weren't allowed either? methinks they need some clearer rules that EVERYONE should adhere to... =\

I'm going to Disney Orlando and got tickets for the NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN on Sept 28th, I assume this is the same thing, I purchased my tickets in advance. From 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM the park is only for ticket holders, apparently it's blast.

I would have simply ask "may I speak to your manager"..

you can always explain to the manager you were following the rules, but the employee wasnt acting accordingly to the rules that disney set...

It is the same and it IS a blast! Great time to ride rides...( and have pictures or you riding rides in costume haha...we did Splash Mountain as Jack and Giselle ) Boo to You parade is a must... we were caught in the back roads between haunted mansion and small world during the fireworks which is actually an AMAZING spot! I was sad we were missing them, and then a second later they were going off ALL AROUND us... it was like a movie scene! :D

ER, I should have done that... I felt so bad for all the people politely asking for photos just 'cause they liked our costumes and then the sad, sad kids when we took off. </3 I'm just a goody goody sometimes and would rather avoid confrontation and getting in trouble...or risk getting kicked out on the 3rd day of our 7 day trip. :| I might email anyways, 'cause that cast member was so mean and threatening! Not nice at all!
