I always wanted to go to this event. Ive been to WDWs Very Merry Christmas Party a few times and its amazing. But Halloween is my favorite Holiday and the Haunted Mansion is pretty much my life so it just seems fit to visit Disneyland/WDW during Halloween to see everyones amazing costumes

Re: Disneyland in Costume for Mickey's Trick or Treat 2010

Is this only open to annual passholders?

It's open to everyone but APs get slightly cheaper tickets, and possibly get to start buying them early? I know a friend of mine said they would be available for APs to buy starting this Friday.

Basically you're buying an evening event pass to enter the park, so it doesn't matter if you have an annual pass or not. You're paying just for that night as the park will be closed early to everyone else and only be open in the evening to those with tickets to the event.

This is the first time in years (when they first started this event) that's it's now back in the park. This is HUGE for those who do Disney-related costumes and have been dying to have pictures actually IN the park as opposed to over in California Adventure.

If you haven't been before, this would be a great year to check it out!

Very cool about them allowing masks this year! Last year was a mess, I remember reading about one guest who was in a Haunted Mansion costume with a mask, and they asked him to leave...

Re: Disneyland in Costume for Mickey's Trick or Treat 2010

hmmm.... I had my Rocketeer helmet on most of the time the last 2 years and no problem with cast members or security telling me to take it off... actually I got TONS of great feedback from them.

Hello? You what? You do?

WE'VE GOT GHOSTS HERE!!!!!

I would so love to see Ecto-1 pull up beside the Esplanade and out jump four GBs. They all go through security enter the park and slowly jog over to the Haunted Mansion. Slowly jog as to not attract the attention of DL security. Upon arriving at the HM they pull out their Proton Pack blasters and say, "Do....Ray.....Me.....Egon!" After that they proceed into the ride que!!!!

I would pay to see that!!! Anyone?

Thanks Jeff!

Only took a couple years there :)

Although the bf is already regretting it as I keep wanting to buy every prop run I see.

I guess they're moving the Halloween event over because of the still on-going construction and maybe they don't want to crowd the new World of Color? I went last year when they had half of CA closed because of the construction and it wasn't that fun. I never though they'd move it back to Disneyland...I'm so psyched...I can't decide which Disney costume to wear!

Techniichan, you're welcome for the info! :)

/\Wadda ya gots?

It looks like October 8th is forming up to be Capn Jack/Pirate Day at DL!

Tickets go on sale tomorrow for Annual Passholders!

Re: Disneyland in Costume for Mickey's Trick or Treat 2010

My friends and I made replicas of the Disney Fairies' costumes and wore those last year. I'm hoping they'll want to wear them again this year in the park. I was Tinker Bell.

But we also made some Prince outfits this year for fun, so maybe we'll wear those. I also have Peter Pan....oh but I do have my Marion Ravenwood costume and it would be fantastic if I could get to the Indy ride in that!

Re: Disneyland in Costume for Mickey's Trick or Treat 2010

We were also thinking Crystal Skull Marion and Indy with our kids running around but we can't afford to go THREE times!

Re: Disneyland in Costume for Mickey's Trick or Treat 2010

^ lol actually all 3 of us were there at the same time last year, in the same spot too. Victoria and gang were waiting for a parade, that's where my GF and I bumped into them and I'm pretty sure I saw Capn_Jack_Savvy taking pictures with a kid. :lol. I think my GF's mom even took a pic of him.

Re: Disneyland in Costume for Mickey's Trick or Treat 2010

BTW, did they post prices yet? I'm betting the DL ticket will be a lot more! I'm wondering how they're gonna clear out DL for all those dates...

Re: Disneyland in Costume for Mickey's Trick or Treat 2010

Isn't that cheaper than a regular ticket?

Re: Disneyland in Costume for Mickey's Trick or Treat 2010

I think regular tickets are like $97..Each year they raise the price a few dollars.

I am considering not getting a pass this year..They raised it from $360 to $ 440...Too rich for my blood..I rather get some rocketeer memorabilia instead :/
